employee's accumulated sick leave. <br />2. No employee may carry over from one calendar year <br />to the next, more than the equivalent of two (2) <br />regular vacation periods from the previous two (2) <br />years, and vacation not taken beyond that amount <br />is forfeited. A regular vacation period is <br />defined as the maximum amount of vacation earned <br />in a calendar year as provided in Subsection A <br />above. <br />3. Employees may or may not be allowed or required to <br />accumulate or split vacations. The time at which <br />an employee shall take his or her vacation shall <br />be determined by seniority within class with due <br />regard for the needs of the department. <br />9.3 Longevity Vacation. <br />A. Each affected employee is granted additional work days <br />of vacation leave with pay for each completed year of <br />full-time, continuous City service as set forth in the <br />following table. This additional vacation shall be <br />designated longevity vacation.
