RESOLUTION NO. 61-75 AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION <br />OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />ESTABLISHING THEREON PUBLIC BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS <br />AND DECLARING THE PUBLIC NECESSITY THEREFOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana has de- <br />clared the area delimited as a Civic Center for the location of <br />public buildings and grounds, and said area includes the property <br />hereinbelow described. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br /> <br />City of Santa Ana does hereby find and declare that the public <br /> <br />interest and necessity require that the City do have, take and acquire <br /> <br />fee title in and to a certain parcel of real property in the City of <br /> <br />Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point on the East line of Flower Street, <br />as conveyed to the City of Santa Aha by deed recorded <br />January 9, 1931, in Book 449, Page 198 of Official Records, <br />305 feet South of the Southeast corner of Eighth and Flower <br />Streets, said point also being the Southwest corner of land <br />conveyed to Lloyd Hulbert and wife by Deed recorded April 17, <br />1945, in Book 1309, Page 310 of Official Records; thence <br />North along said East line of Flower Street, 100 feet; thence <br />East parallel with the South line of said land of Hulbert to <br />a point in the East line of said land of Hulbert; thence <br />South along said East line 100.00 feet to an angle corner in <br />the South line of said land of Hulbert; thence West along <br />said South line 121.40 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said City Council does hereby <br />find and declare that the taking herein authorized is necessary for <br />the purpose of locating and constructing thereon public buildings <br />and grounds for the use of the City of Santa Ana and that it is <br />necessary to acquire fee title in and to said property. The said <br />City Council hereby declares that the location of said public <br />buildings and grounds is planned and located in a manner which would <br />be most ccmpatib le to the greatest public good and the least private <br />injury. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney is hereby <br />ordered and directed to bring an action in the name of the City of <br />Santa Ana in the Superior Court of the State of California in and <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
