Chandler. <br /> Noes, T~ustees None <br /> Absent, T~ustees None <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the demands <br /> as audited by the Finance Committee were approved and Clerk authorized <br /> <br /> to issue warrants for same. <br /> # <br /> On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Dahl, <br /> seconded by Hunter and carried, action on the request of Nfs. Robert <br /> Weiland that a crossing guard be placed at Bristol Street to protect <br /> the children who attend the Glenn-L. Nartin school, was deferred until <br /> <br /> a later date. <br /> . <br /> On motion of T~ustee Hunter~ seconded'by NcBride and carried, the <br /> petition signed by 94 property owners ~equesting that a footbridge be <br /> erected, constructed and maintained for Bchool children over Santiago <br /> Creek from the west end of River Lane to the north end of Baker Street <br /> was referred to the City Engineer for investigation for alternate <br /> <br /> plans and to employ a consultant if necessary. <br /> # <br /> <br /> On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Hunter, <br /> seconded by McBride and carried, the City Attorney was instructed to <br /> prepare an amendment to the Nunicipal Code to permit the Chief of <br /> PoliCe to install temporary stop signs at Ross and Camile and at <br /> Patton and Camile,'referenee request of the Principal of the Senior <br /> <br /> High'School. <br /> # <br />The Clerk read the report of the City Attorney reference claim of the <br />Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company for damage to 6 feet of their <br />'single tile duct and $00-pair, 2~-gauge alpeth cable, on the south <br />side of l?th Street, about 200 feet west of Santiago Avenue, in the <br />estimated sum of $250.00, and on motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by <br />Jerome and carried, the report was received and filed. <br /> <br /> On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Dahl, <br /> seconded by Jerome and carried, the request of Arthur E. Curran that <br /> stop signs be placed at the intersections of Cypress and Cubbon <br /> Streets and Orange and Cubbon Streets was denied and the <br /> instructed to advise Ma-, Curran of Council action and reasons for the <br /> <br /> denial of request. <br /> # <br /> <br /> The Administrator reported on the request of members of the Fire <br /> Department for a reduction of working hours per week and additional <br /> man power required for such reduction. On motion of Trustee Dahl, <br /> seconded by Jerome and carried, the recommendation of the Admini~ <br /> and Fire Chief was approved and members of the Fire Department were <br /> placed on a 67-plus hour work week effective at such time as it is <br /> <br /> practical. <br /> # <br /> <br />the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees <br /> <br /> <br />
