RESOLUTION NO. 61-82 OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br />CALIFORNIA, EXPRESSING OPPOSITION TO ASSF~LY <br />BILL 350 <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED: ~l~tthe City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby requests that Assembly Bill 350 be killed in Committee and <br />that if not so killed, be opposed by "no" votes in the Assembly and <br />the Senate. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That there presently exists no need <br />for such legislation in the State of California; that the condition <br />of the case law, statutes and ordinances presently existing make any <br />such legislation unnecessary, and legislation such as Assembly Bill <br />350 might permit large groups of public employees to be welded into <br />a force that could materially affect the result of local elections <br />in a manner which is contrary to all accepted standards and princi- <br />ples of the American democratic system and might introduce evils that <br />we are now singularly free from. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of March, 1961. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br />I, MARION SUTTNER, <br /> <br />do hereby certify that I am the Clerk of <br /> <br />the Council of the City of Santa Aha; that the foregoing Resolution <br />was regularly introduced to said Council at its regular meeting held <br />on the 20th day of M~rch, 1961, and was at said meeting regularly <br />passed and adopted by the following vote, to-wit: <br /> <br /> RoyalE.
