RESOLUTION NO. 61-86 OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br />CALIFORNIA, EXPRESSING OPPOSITION TO ASSF~iBLY <br />BILL 351 AND URGING ITS DEFEAT <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED: By the City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />that it is unalterably opposed to the philosophy express in Assembly <br />Bill 351: that it firmly believes that public employees, by almost <br />every basis of judgment and almost every standard of determination, <br />are distinguishable from employees of private business organizations; <br />that such employees should neither be encouraged to nor permitted to <br />become members of labor organizations; that expressly granting such <br />right to employees by a statute of the State would be against the <br />public interest of such employees, and this Council urges defeat of <br />this measure in Committee, and if it or any other measure remotely <br />similar reached the floor of the Assembly this Council urges a "no" <br />vote from each and every Assemblyman for the State of California. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa~ <br />Aha at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of March, 1961. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />C~L~RK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br />I, b~RION SUTTNER, <br /> <br />do hereby certify that I am the Clerk of <br /> <br />the Council of the City of Santa Ana; that the foregoing Resolution <br />was regularly introduced to said Council at its regular meeting held <br />on the 20th day of March, 1961, and was at said meeting regularly <br />passed and adopted by the following vote, to-wit: <br /> <br /> RoyalE.
