A third amendment to the Agreement for Water Production and <br />Transmission Facilities - Dyer Road Well Field with the Orange County <br />Water and the Irvine'Ranch Water Districts, and <br />2.A 40-year lease agreement for color water production wells and <br />treatment plant facilities with the Irvine Ranch Water District. <br />3. Approve and adopt the final Environmental Impact Report addendum <br />entitled "Conjunctive Use Water Wells and Pipeline," dated August <br />1999. <br />pISCUSSION <br />01 March 18, 1981, the City of Santa Ana entered -into an agreement for <br />water production and transmission facilities with the Orange County Water <br />District (OCWD) and the Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD). This <br />agreement is commonly known as the Dyer Road Well Field Agreement (DRWF). <br />This agreement allowed IRWD to pump groundwater from wells located in <br />Santa Ana and construct a transmission pipeline to deliver the water to <br />the IRWD service area. <br />May 2, 1984, an amendment to the agreement was executed. The amendment <br />limited the size of the transmission pipeline constructed by IRWD to <br />fifty four inches in diameter and set a production limitation of 20,000 <br />acre feet per year based on the project's Environmental impact and <br />Project Report. it also made provisions for Santa Aria to purchase rights <br />to capacity in IRWD's transmission pipeline by acquiring up to 10% <br />ownership in the project facilities. <br />Substitute 25mGn <br />Page 39 <br />
