0 <br />AGREEMENT FOR <br />WORKERS' COMPENSATION <br />LEGAL SERVICES <br />VVUNK, MAY <br />OF N <br />DATE,,, <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this -/7"day of Tonaary <br />2000 ---7— <br />, by and between the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and a municipal corporation duly <br />organized and existing under the constitution and laws of the State of California ("City") and <br />Grancell, Lebovitz, Stander, Marx & Bames, a Professional Corporation ("Attorneys"): <br />Recitals <br />W-I-T-N-E-S-S-E-T-H <br />1. The City desire to employ a firm of attorneys to assist the City in the defense of <br />actions for Workers' Compensation against CITY, its agencies, officers, <br />employees, and volunteers and otherwise to provide legal services in connection <br />with such claims for benefits. <br />2. ATTORNEYS are licensed to practice law in the State of California, have <br />special experience and knowledge in the field of the defense of Workers' <br />Compensation against municipalities, and desire to undertake said employment. <br />A. EMPLOYMENT OF ATTORNEYS <br />CITY hereby agrees to land does employ ATTORNEYS for the fees hereinafter specified, to <br />assist the CITY when and as requested by CITY to do so in connection with the defense of <br />claims for benefits Linder Workers' Compensation against CITY, its agencies, officers, <br />employees, and volunteers to the extent said services are deemed necessary by CITY. <br />
