r <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />The following shall apply to the material indicated: <br />• Fertilizers shall be complete, furnishing the required percentage of nitrogen, <br />phosphoric acid and potassium to keep lawns, trees, shrubs, and other plants in <br />a healthy and vigorous growing condition. <br />• Insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, and rodenticides shall be of the best quality <br />obtainable, properly labeled with guaranteed analysis, and brought to the job site <br />in the manufacturer's original container. <br />• Tree stakes, tree ties and guy wires shall be of materials matching those existing <br />in the work site or as specified by the City of Santa Ana. <br />• Replacement trees, shrubs, ground cover, and other plants shall be of a size, <br />condition and variety specified by the City of Santa Ana. <br />• Replacement plant materials may be inspected by the City of Santa Ana prior to <br />planting. <br />• The City of Santa Ana shall determine replacement lawn sod <br />9. RECYCLING/DISPOSAL <br />All organic waste (including leaves, grass clippings, brush, branches, and tree parts) <br />resulting from work performed under this contract shall be recycled through composting <br />or processing for use as mulch. Organic waste cannot be taken to the landfill. The names <br />and addresses of the licensed green -waste composting or processing companies, and <br />haulers, along with the tonnages used and receipts, shall be provided to the City of Santa <br />Ana in a monthly written report and an annual written report. <br />A hundred percent (100%) of all landscape debris will be disposed of through a landscape <br />material recycling center or reused in some manner. The Contractor shall dispose of all <br />cuttings, weeds, leaves, trash, and other debris from the operation as work progresses. <br />The City shall not be responsible for the disposal. Contractor shall pay all disposal fees <br />and provide documentation evidence of recycling to include location, tonnage, etc. to the <br />City. At no time is the Contractor permitted to use City dumpsters. <br />10. RECORDS <br />The Contractor shall, within fifteen (15) days of the effective date of an executed <br />agreement, prepare and submit a written annual maintenance calendar to the City of <br />Santa Ana. This maintenance calendar shall clearly indicate all of the landscape <br />maintenance tasks required by this agreement and the months of the year they are <br />scheduled to be performed. If it is necessary to make periodic revisions to this <br />maintenance schedule, a modified calendar must be submitted to the City of Santa Ana <br />for approval prior to the date the changes are to take effect. <br />
