RESOLUTION NO. 61-122 INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR <br />THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA, DESIGNATING AN APPROPRIATE NAME OF "GRAND <br />AVENUE WEST AND SANTA CLARA N.E. ANNEX" FOR SAID <br />TERRITORY, AND GIVING NOTICE OF PROTEST HEARING <br />TWRREON <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the request of property owners in the territory <br />herein described, the description and map of said territory were <br />presented to the Santa Ana Planning Con~mission and the Orange County <br />Boundary Commission, and said Planning C~,~,ission approved annexation <br />of said territory and said Boundary Commission caused a report to be <br />prepared inferentially finding the proposed boundaries to be definite <br />and certain. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana hereby initiates proceedings for annexation of said <br />territory herein described to the City of Santa Ana for the following <br />reasons: <br /> <br /> 1.~ That said territory is presently in need of municipal <br /> services, particularly access to an adequate sewerage <br /> system, and in the City of Santa Ana said territory <br /> could be connected into the Santa Ana sewerage trunk <br /> lines without paying any cost for said lines. <br /> <br /> 2.) That the area can best be served by the City of Santa <br /> <br /> .Ana with municipal services of the highest quality <br /> anywhere obtainable at a lower cost than elsewhere <br /> obtainable. <br /> <br /> 3.) That it is to the mutual advantage of the land owners <br /> and the City of Santa Ana that said territory become <br /> a part of said City. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares <br />its intention to annex all of the territory hereinbelow described <br />under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act <br />of 1939, and hereby finds and declares that said territory is unin- <br />habited within the meaning of California Government Code Section <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
