RESOLUTION NO. ~I~12/__AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION OF <br />CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY SOUTH OF WESTMINSTER AVENUE <br />FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND EXTENSION OF FAIRVIEW STREET <br />AND DECLARING THE NECESSITY THEREFOR~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Fairview Street is presently proposed to be extended <br />South of Westminster Avenue to provide an artery for North and South <br />vehicular traffic. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br /> <br />City of Santa Ana does hereby find and declare that public interest and <br /> <br />necessity require that Fairview Street be extended Southerly from <br /> <br />Westminster Avenue, as shown on maps thereof on file in the office of <br /> <br />the Department of Public Works and herein referred to for greater de- <br /> <br />tail, to accommodate the demands of traffic, and further require that <br /> <br />said City do have, take and acquire fee simple title to certain parcels <br /> <br />of land in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, <br /> <br />described as: <br /> <br />PARCEL iA: That portion of Lot 2, Tract Number 19, in the <br />City of Santa Ana, as shown on a map thereof recorded in <br />Book 9, Page 23, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, <br />California, lying within a strip of land 100.00 feet wide the <br />center line of which is described as follows: <br /> <br />Commencing at the intersection of the center line of King <br />Street, 50.00 feet wide, with the center line of Eighth Street, <br />as shown on a licensed surveyor's map recorded in Book 22, <br />Page 37, Record of Surveys, in the office of the County Recorder <br />of said Orange County and running thence North 62° 30' West <br />20.00 feet; thence North 27° 30' East 321.59 feet to the <br />beginning of a tangent curve concave Westerly having a radius <br />of 1000.00 feet; thence Northerly along the arc of said curve <br />through a central angle of 46° 00' 00" a distance of 802.85 <br />feet to a tangent line; thence North 18° 30' West along said <br />tangent line 175.07 feet. <br /> <br />Excepting therefrom that portion of said strip of land, 100.00 <br />feet wide, lying within the following described property: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point in the Easterly line of said Lot 2, 75.00 <br />feet Northeasterly from the Southeast corner of said Lot 2; <br />thence Northeasterly along said Easterly line 50.00 feet; <br />thence Westerly, parallel with the Southerly line of said <br />Lot 2, a distance of 165 feet; thence Southwesterly parallel <br />with the Easterly line of said Lot 2, a distance of 50.00 feet; <br />thence Basterly, parallel with the Southerly line of said Lot 2, <br />a distance of 165 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />PARCEL lB: <br />land 108.00 <br />fol lows: <br /> <br />That portion of said Lot 2 lying within a strip of <br />feet wide the center line of which is described as <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
