314 <br /> <br />In Re <br />Ordinance <br />Providing minimum <br />width for new <br />streets <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance <br />Eleanor Randall Grand <br /> <br />.In Re <br />Tentative Ma <br />Tract No. 17~0 <br /> <br /> In Re <br />Tentative Map <br />~act No. 1734 <br />(north of Fairview <br />and btn Flower and <br />Shelton Sts.) <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br />following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance amending t Santa Aha Municipal Codet <br /> by amending Section 7207.1 to provide minimum <br /> width for new streets# <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second reading <br /> <br />The Clerk read communication from the Planning Commission recommending' <br /> Eleanor Randall Gran~ to <br />that a variance be granted to/permit construction of a Union Oil <br /> <br />Company service station at 617 East 17th Street. Attorney Clark <br />Miller, representing the opponents, requested that action on the <br />variance be postponed for two weeks because of proposed title search <br />of an alleged deed restriction. Attorney Robert L. Corfman, represent- <br />lng the proponents, stated he was not in favor of postponing action. <br />Messrs. Rohrs, Tlpton, Herzig, Woody, Hall and Leiphardt spoke in <br />favor of the variance and Mesdames Wheeler and Blower stated their <br />approval. Attorney Clark Miller presented petitions containing <br />approximately fifty-three names of property owners in the vicinity of <br />Seventeenth and Santiago Streets, protesting the erection of the <br />service station. On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and <br />carried, the petitions were received and filed. On motion of Trusteel <br />McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the recommendation of the <br />Planning Commission was approved and variance granted to erect a Union <br />Oil Company service station at 617 East Seventeenth Street. <br /> <br />Roll Call Trustees Ayes William Jerome, J.L.McBride, <br /> Orson H. Chandler. <br /> Trustees Noes None <br /> Trustees Absent None <br /># <br />Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending <br />approval of Tentative Map of Tract No. 1740 subject to the approval <br />of the City Engineer and submitted by D.D.Hillyard for Emmet C. Rogers <br />consisting of Swenty-three lots east of Baker Street on Santa Clara <br />Avenue, Rosewood Avenue and Riviera Drive. On motion of Trustee <br /> <br />Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, the recommendation of the Plann-~ <br />Sng Commission was approved and Tentative Map of Tract No. 1740 <br />approved subject to the receipt of a Grant Deed without any reservatioSs <br />to all of that portion of the property lying north of a line parallel <br />to and forty feet southerly from the surveyed center line of the Creeki <br /> <br />and described as Lot "A". <br /># <br />Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending <br />approval of Tentative Map of Tract No. 1734, submitted by D.D.Hillyard <br />for Nelson & Casserly, subject to the City Engineer in regard to <br />drainage and easements and that a set-back of 45 feet from the center <br />of the street be established for this Tract. On motion of Trustee <br />Hunter, seconded by McBride and carried, Tentative Map of Tract No. <br />1734 was referred to the Planning Commission and the City Engineer was~ <br />instructed to resurvey the property for the purpose of replotting the <br />streets to establish a minimum width of sixty feet. <br /> <br /> <br />
