RESOLUTION NO. 61-164 APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING <br />INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF SIXTH STREET <br />BETWEEN MABURY STREET AND THE SANTA ANA FREEWAY <br />RESERVING THEREFROM A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a request for the vacation of that portion of Sixth <br />Street herein described was received and referred to the Department <br />of Public Works and the Planning Department, which said departments <br />recommended approval of the abandonment subject to certain conditions. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby <br /> <br />adopts the map attached hereto, orders the same filed with the orig- <br /> <br />inal of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk of the Council <br /> <br />and reference is hereby made to said map for the exterior boundaries <br /> <br />of the street right of way proposed to be vacated. <br /> <br />The City Council declares its intention to proceed with this <br /> <br />street vacation under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of <br /> <br />1941 (Sections 8300 through 8374 of the California Streets and High- <br /> <br />ways code) to vacate that portion of Sixth Street (reserving therein <br />a public service easement), in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, <br /> <br />State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> That portion of Central Avenue (now Sixth Street) as <br />shown on a map of the "East Side Addition to Santa Ana" <br />recorded in Book 1, Pages 21 and 22, Miscellaneous Maps <br />in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, <br />California, bounded Northerly by the South line of the <br />North 10 feet of said Central Avenue (now Sixth Street); <br />bounded Southerly by the North line of the South 10 feet <br />of said Central Avenue (now Sixth Street); bounded <br />Easterly by the Northerly prolongation of the East line <br />of Lot 12 of said "East Side Addition to Santa Ana" and <br />bounded Westerly by the following described line: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point on the Northerly line of said <br />Southerly 10 feet of Sixth Street, distant thereon 193.08 <br />feet Westerly from the intersection of said Northerly <br />line with the Northerly prolongation of said East line of <br />Lot 12 and running thence Northwesterly in a straight <br />line to a point on the Southerly line of said Northerly <br />10 feet of Sixth Street, said point being 235 feet Westerly <br />from the intersection of said Southerly line with the <br />Northerly prolongation of said East line of Lot 12, <br /> <br /> RESERVING AND EXCEPTING THEREFROM a permanent easement <br />and right of way for the construction, maintenance, opera- <br />tion, repair, replacement and enlargement of sanitary <br />sewers, water mains and lines, storm drains or ditches, <br />poles and lines and conduits for the use of telephonic <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
