SENIOR CITIZENS SERVICE CENTER' <br />REVENUE SHARING AGREEMENT <br />THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this g2iO day of <br />1974, by and between the CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br />a chartereo municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as <br />"CITY" and the COUNTY OF ORANGE,�hereinafter referred to as <br />"COUNTY." <br />W i T N E S S E T H: <br />WHEREAS, CITY has a total population of 176,000 people of <br />which approximately 38,277 are over 50 years of age; and <br />WHEREAS, the CITY presently provides services and facilities <br />to the Santa Ana Senior Citizens Club;*and <br />WHEREAS, the present facilities provided by CITY do not meet <br />the needs of the elderly; and <br />WHEREAS, COUNTY, Under Resolution 73-11.56 has appropj:iateU a <br />portion of revenue sharing funds in the amount -of $490,000 for the <br />Santa Ana Senior Citizens Service Center for support of construction <br />and transportation services for senior citizens; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, pursuant t•o <br />its Resolution 73-54, has designated as one of its proposed uses for <br />County revenue sharing funds,'social impact programs for the elderly <br />poor; and <br />WHEREAS, CITY has requested COUNTY that revenue sharing funds be <br />provided to assist .in funding the Santa Ana Senior Citizens Service <br />Center; and <br />WHEREAS, this service center will provide to the elderly poor of <br />the CITY financial and health counseling, and recreational facilities. <br />
