E T H <br />WHEREAS, COUNTY owns F-orrest Paull Park, at the intersection of Carden Grove <br />Boulevard and City Drive and immediately west of the SAnta Ana River hereinafter <br />referred to as "PROJECT"; and <br />WHEREAS, COUNTY, in conjunction with the development of said park, proposes <br />to enter into an agreement with City of Orange for construction of improvements to <br />Garden Grove Boulevard and traffic control signals and highway intersection lighting <br />at Lite intersection of Garden Grove Boulevard and City Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, the existing right of way of Garden Grove Boulevard is located <br />within City of Orange but COUNTY plans to widen the southerly half. of Garden Grove <br />Boulevard with a portion thereof located within the limits of CITY; and <br />WHEREAS, the southerly lei; of the traffic control signals and highway <br />intersection lighting will serve only COUNTY'S park; <br />NOW, THEREFORE IT IS AGREED by the parties hereto as follows: <br />I. CITY SHALL: <br />A. <br />Be and is hereby designated as the <br />"Responsible <br />Agency" pursuant <br />to the Guidelines <br />for Implementation of the C.E.Q.A. <br />of <br />1970 as amended. <br />B. Review and approve <br />the plains <br />and <br />specifications <br />as to design and <br />construction features effecting the <br />portion of <br />the <br />PROJECT within <br />CITY. <br />-1- <br />
