Redeveloping the aging auto- entric suburban shopping center on South Bristol Street into a walkable, people -first ccrrmunity of residences, shops, restaurants and programmed open green space will be a major econormlc boost to the City. Approx(rnately 7,50C' obs will be created, along ;with an estimated $10.7 rnillion in annual tax revenue to help fine ;he expansion of services and programs throughout Santa Ana. Once bullt. neariy one-third of the development will be dedicated to open space with an active mix of programmed parkas, open-air plazas and pedestrian -only paseos--a sharp contrast to the asphaft-heavy shopping center that exists there today. Open space on this scale in the heart of Orange County is in high demand, but short supply. which is why Related Bristol is such a vital --and refreshing —alternative to other urban developments. Moreover. Santa Ana is central to many major employers and the City reeds more housing to retain and a tract'skilled wndrKers. Related Bristol will offer a diverse mix of housing and lifestyle options meet this critical regional need.
