On motion of Trusts <br /> Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, the protest was referred to the <br /> Administrator for report and investigation on the weight of the <br /> barrel s. <br /> <br />Communication was read from the Industrial Accident Commission stating <br />that an award has been made in favor of Johan J. Hansen against State <br />Compensation Insurance Fund in the sum of $6240.00, payable at $30.00 <br />per week beginning June 26, 1952 and weekly thereafter until the whole <br />award has been paid, less credit of $788.60 and any other sums hereto- <br />fore paid, together with interest as provided by law. On motion of <br />Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the communication was <br /> <br />received and filed. <br /> . <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br /> <br />Minutes of the Executive Committee of the Joint Outfall Sewer .held at <br /> <br />Anaheim, March 5, 1953, were received and filed. <br />. <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />notification of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic beverage <br />application made by Fred A. Hendricks, 2034 South Main Street, was <br />received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br />applications of William W. Mellen, Earl C. Meyer and Donald Sorenson <br /> <br />to drive taxicabs, were received and permits granted. <br /># <br />On 'motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the demands <br />as audited by the Finan ~ Committee were approved and the Clerk <br />ized to issue warrants for same. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br /> <br />report on the Pound, for the month of February, 1953, was received and <br />filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the Finding~ <br />of Fact and Conclusions, and Recommendations of the Civil Service <br />Commission, in the matter of charges against Harrel C. Davis, Vernon <br />V. Adams and Richard H. Pemberton, classified employees of the Police <br />Department, was received and filed. It was moved by Trustee Jerome, <br />seconded by McBride and carried, that the Findings of Fact and <br />Conclusions, and Recommendations of the Civil Service Commission, in <br />the matter of charges against Harrel C. Davis, Vernon V. Adams and <br />Richard H. Pemberton be received, accepted and filed and that the <br />disciplinary action be taken as recommended by said Commission, to-wit~ <br />that Vernon V. Adams and Richard H. Pemberton be and. they are hereby <br />suspended from duty, without pay, for a period of one calendar month <br /> <br /> <br />
