RESOLUTION NO. 61-~ DECLARING THE INTENTION <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, TO ASSUME <br />RESPONSIBILITY FOR ENFORCEMENT OF PART 2, <br />DIVISION 13, OF THE HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE REGU- <br />LATING MOBILEHOMES ARD MOBILEHOME PARKS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on July 20, 1961, the Governor signed Assembly Bill <br />No. 2126 (Chapter 2176, Statutes 1961) which went into effect <br />September 15, 1961, to create entirely new regulations for mobilehomes <br />and mobilehome parks; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 18010 of said Chapter provides that cities may <br />assume responsibility for enforcement of the provisions of Chapter and <br />the City Council has considered the provisions of said Chapter (Health <br />and Safety Code Sections 18000 through 18475) and has determined that <br />the City of Santa Ana has an adequate staff of trained personnel and <br />should assume the enforcement of said Chapter within the City. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana, <br />California, hereby declares its intent to assume responsibility for <br />the enforcement of the provisions contained in Part 2, Division 13, <br />of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California, declares <br />its intention to enforce said provisions and directs the Clerk of the <br />Council to notify the Division of Housing, in writing, of the decision <br />of this City Council by sending to said Division a certified copy of <br />this Resolution. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: ~fhat the Orange County Health Depart- <br />ment is hereby requested to assume enforcement of those provisions of <br />said Part relating to maintenance, sanitation and toilet facilities <br />within the City of Santa Ana in accordance with the letter from <br />Edward Lee Russell, M.D., dated August 23, 1961, in the interest of <br />uniformity of enforcement, since said Department now has the responsi- <br />bility for the enforcement of all statutes and regulations relating <br />to sanitary matters within said City and has available a trained and <br />competent staff for said purpose. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
