---------- Forwarded message ---------
From: Randy Fong <drfong@rand vfongdds.com>
Date: Mon, Sep 23, 2024 at 7:21 PM
Subject: Metro Town Square Redevelopment / Related Bristol
To: <DPenialoza santa-ana.ora>
Randy Fong, D.D.S.
3620 S. Bristol St., Suite 208
Santa Ana, California 92704
(71.4) 549-1903
drfong(.rand Yfongdds.com
Dear Santa Ana City Council Member David Penaloza:
My name is Dr. Randy Fong, and I am a dentist at Metro Town Square. I have been a
tenant there since 1989.
1 am writing to plead that Santa Ana City Council stop delaying the approvals of Related Bristol,
From the last hearing, City Council appears to be prioritizing politics and others interests
above the small businesses that call this center home.
I am proud of my business and have worked hard through the years to build a strong
relationship with my loyal patients. Metro Town Square is over 50 years old. The center has run its course and
needs to be updated. Many other tenants also feel this way. Unless major changes occur, I may lose patients,
which are mostly from local neighborhoods in Santa Ana.
I support Related Bristol because the developer is committed to addressing growing
concerns about safety and security at the center and in South Santa Ana. This is a very
high priority for me, my patients and other tenants. I support the developer's offer to
put a police substation within Related Bristol to help both private and public safety
officers respond more quickly to emergencies.
I want the opportunity to remain here for years to come, but my lease expires next
year. I do not have a lease extension in place because Related has been delayed by
the City, f am anxious and concerned about my future.
22
