RESOLUTION NO. 61-2~7 AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION <br />OF REAL PROPERTY EAST OF BAKER STREET FOR THE <br />EXTENSION OF THE NORTH HALF OF BROOK STREET TO <br />THE EAST AND DECLARING THE NECESSITY THEREFOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Brook Street as it now exists at a point approximately <br />120 feet East of the East line of Baker Street is inadequate in width, <br />being but the Southerly half of said Street. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana does hereby find and determine that public interest <br />and necessity require that Brook Street be widened and that property <br />for the North half of said Street be acquired, and it is declared <br />that the City do have, take and acquire a fee title for said purpose <br />through and across certain land in the City of Santa Ana, County of <br />Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> PARCEL 1: <br /> <br /> The Southerly 30.00 feet of the East half of Lot 10 of <br /> the Highland Street Tract as shown on a map thereof <br /> recorded in Book 6, Page 40, Miscellaneous Maps, Records <br /> of Orange County, California. <br /> <br /> PARCEL 2: <br /> <br /> The Southerly 30.00 feet of Lot 8 of said Highland Street <br /> Tract. <br /> <br /> PARCEL 3: <br /> <br /> The Southerly 30.00 feet of the West half of Lot 6 of <br /> said Highland Street Tract. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney is hereby <br />ordered and directed to bring an action in the name of said City in <br />the Superior Court of the State of California, in and for the County <br />of Orange, to condemn said property necessary to be taken as herein <br />ordered and described, and to do all things necessary to prosecute <br />said action to final determination. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the public interest, necessity <br />and convenience require, and it is hereby ordered, that the City of <br />Santa Ana, a municipal corporation, Plaintiff in the condemnation <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
