Miller, M.D. <br /> (white zone) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />Mrs. E.M.G~ddard <br /> (stop sign, etc.) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />Mrs. G.R.Dorfsmith <br /> (loading zone) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />S.J.Francis, D.C. <br /> (loading zone, etc.) <br /> <br />Communication was read from the City Attorney recommending that the <br /> <br />City pay the charge of $912.00 rendered by the County of Orange by <br /> <br />reason of the consolidation of the Santa Ana City propositions with <br /> <br />the November $, 1952 General Election. On motion of Trustee McBride, <br /> <br />seconded by Jerome and carried, the Clerk was authorized to draw a <br /> <br />war~ant in favor of the County Board of Supervisors, in the sum of <br /> <br />$912.0o. <br /># <br />On recommendation of the City Manager and on motion of Trustee Jerome, i <br />seconded by Lateen and carried, the request of the Military Order of <br />the Purple Heart, Inc. for permission to use one meter parking space <br />to display an exhibit of antique and modern firearms and war equip- <br />ment, was denied. <br /> <br />The City Manager recommended the installation of three twenty-four <br />minute zones in front of the Floral Park Post Office on West 17th <br />Street, reference the request of the Postmaster, beginning at the <br />easterly end of the red zone and dontinuing for three car lengths. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Lateen and carried, the <br />recommendation was approved and the City Engineer instructed to <br /> <br />prepare a Resolution establishing the three twenty-four minute zones. <br /># <br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Dahl, <br />seconded by Larsen and carried, the request of Edward A. Miller, M.D. <br />309 W. 8th Street, that a white zone be established in front of hie <br /> <br />office, was denied. <br /> <br />The City Manager recommended that no action be taken on the requests <br />of Mrs. E.N.Goddard for a boulevard stop sign on Broadway at 8th Str'eet <br />or that a red curb for at least two car lengths be established in <br />front of the office building located on the north side of 8th Street, <br />and that a "slow" sign be painted on the pavement on 8th Street at <br />Patton, and stated that there are adequate red zones on both sides of <br />B~oadway at 8th Street. On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by <br />Jerome and carried, the recommendation was accepted, except for the <br />painting of the red zone on Broadway at 8th Street and matter referred <br />to the City Attorney to determine if there is an existing Resolution <br />and if not, to prepare a Resolution to establish the red zone to the <br /> <br />driveway. <br /># <br />On recommendation cf the committee and on motion of Trustee Jerome, <br />seconded by McBride and carried, 'the City Engineer was instructed to <br /> <br />prepare a Resolution establishing a loading zone at 520 East tth Street, <br /> <br />reference the request of Mrs. G.R.Dorfsmith. <br /># <br />The City Manager recommended that the Central Traffic District not be <br /> <br />extended at this time to the 200 block south of First Street on <br /> <br />B~oadway <br />215 South <br />motion of <br />tion was <br /> <br />and stated that two 24-minute zones should be established at ~ <br />Broadway reference the request of Dr. S.J.Francis.
