RESOLUTION NO. 61-299 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO INCLUDE WITHIN <br />THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRA~THEDEVELOP- <br />MENT OF EDINGER STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to acquire right of way on <br />Edinger Street from Flower to Bristol Street, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Edinger Street is an important artery in the County of <br /> <br />Orange and of general County interest, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Article 2 and 3~ Chapter 9~ Division 2 of the Streets and <br />Highways Code authorizes a County, if it so desires, to expend funds apportioned <br />to it out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to any City in the <br />improvement~ construction or repair of a street within a City, and <br /> <br /> ~{~REAS, the Board of Supervisors intends to~ by appropriate action, <br />provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the <br />Fiscal Year 1962-63 a sum of money for the improvement of streets within <br />the incorporated cities of the County in accordance with the Orange County <br />Arterial Highway Financing Program. <br /> <br /> NOW~ IHEREFORE~ B~ IT RESOLVED1 That the Council of the City of Santa <br />Aha hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate <br />to said City from County Funds the amount of $144,500.00 , said amount to be <br />matched by funds from said City, to be used to aid said City in the acquisition <br />of necessary rights of way on Edinger Stree? from Flower to Bristol Street{ <br />said acquisition of rights of way to be in accordance with the attached project <br />statement; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVEDI That the Board of Supervisors of the County of <br />Orange is hereby requested to find that said acquisition of rights of way on <br />Edinger Street, in the manner provided, is in the general County in.retest. <br /> <br /> <br />
