Council Chamber <br />Santa Ana City Hall <br />June 1, 1953. 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br />Meeting called to order by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Present: <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmen <br />Councilmen <br /> <br />William Jerome, J.L.McBride, <br />Thomas F. Larsen, Milford <br />Courtney R. Chandler. <br />None <br /> <br />Dahl, <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of <br />the Minutes of May 18, 1953, reading of the Minutes. was <br />dispensed with and approved on motion of Councilman Jerome, <br />seconded by Larsen and carried. <br /> <br />In Re On motion of Councilman Jerome, <br />Bids <br />Autos for <br />Police Dept. <br /> <br /> seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br />Clerk was authorized to open bids for the furnishing of three four- <br />door black automobiles and one four-door other than black automobile <br /> <br />for the Police Department, as follows: <br /> <br /> Bid of Harrison Pontiac-Company: <br /> Net bid of $4311.52 for six cylinder cars, ll5 horse power. <br />Net bid of $4966.94 for eight cylinder cars including <br /> standard police group, 122 horse power. Delivery within six weeks. <br /> <br />Bid of George Dunton: <br />Net bid of $5,679.44 for six cylinder cars. Delivery within <br />30-g5.days after receipt of purchase order. <br /> <br />Bid of McLean Motor ComPany: <br />Net bid of $7,260.04 for Oldsmobile Super 88.Series. <br />Net bid of $6,884.9g for Oldsmobile "88" series. <br />Delivery within thirty days from date of order. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by McBride and carried, the <br /> <br />bids were referred to the Manager, Purchasing Agent and Chief of <br /> <br />Police for report at their early convenience. <br /># <br /> <br /> <br />
