Stronge and Helen B. Smith for the <br /> <br />First Christian Church, to construct a Church and accessory buildings <br />with improvements and off-street parking in connection with the use <br />of the property at 1716-22 West 17th Street. On motion of Councilman <br /> <br />Larsen~ seconded by McBride and carried, the variance was granted <br />subject to the condition that on or before thirty days from this date <br />the applicants or the First Christian Church agree to dedicate 30 fee' <br />of a 60 foot street from 15th Street to 16th Street along the westerl <br />boundary of the property included in this application not to exceed <br /> <br />335 feet and further agree to pay the total cost of a 60 foot street <br /> <br />improvement, which shall be a ~0 foot street and 60 foot curb only, <br />the additional 30 feet to be dedicated by the members of the Sixteentl <br /> <br />Street Association all on the condition and at such time as a complete <br />"U" from 15th Street to 16th Street is assured by deeds and costs of <br />improving,the same being deposited with a reliable escrow holder on <br /> <br />or before one year from this date. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br />granted to Carl K. and Agnes B. Pea~l~an, to permit construction of <br />a two-story building composed of approximately 1400 to 1600 square <br />feet, the main floor 'to be. used as Doctor's offices and the same area <br /> <br />In Re. <br />Resol. No. 53-78 <br />Ordering Work <br />Assess. Dist. 195 <br /> <br />or less on second floor may or may not be used as apartments, on <br /> <br />property located south of 1522 North Sycamore Street. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman .Dahl, seconded by Lateen and carried, the <br />following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br />"Resolution of the City Council of the 0ity <br />of Santa Ana, California, ordering the <br />construction of certain street work in the <br />City of Santa Ana and ordering posting and <br />publication of notices inviting sealed <br />proposals or bids" <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 53-78 and passed by <br /> <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, <br /> <br />Noes, <br />Absent, <br /> <br />councilmen William Jerome, J.L.MCBride, <br /> Thomas F.
