Enhance Santa <br />Ana's gateways to include unique and distinctive streetscape <br />improvements. <br />The Project is consistent with these General Plan Urban Design Element <br />goals and policies. The Project improves a major site at a gateway <br />intersection leading into Santa Ana by redeveloping an outdated, auto - <br />oriented strip -commercial center with a dynamic, mixed -use urban village <br />that complements the scale an intensity of existing developments <br />surrounding the Project Site. Through onsite private streets and <br />improvements to public streets along the site's street frontages, the <br />specific plan will create attractive travelways and establish activity nodes <br />at the intersections of Bristol Street and Sunflower Avenue, and Bristol <br />Street and MacArthur Boulevard, near the interchange of Bristol Street <br />Ordinance No. NS-3070 <br />Page 10 of 16 <br />
