RESOLUTION NO. 60-~9 'INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE <br />ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, DESIG- <br />NATINGANAPPROPRIATE NAME OF "SOUTH SANTA ANAANNBX NO. <br />5" ~O~ ~AID TERRITORY, AND GIVING NOTICE OF PROTEST <br />HEARING THBREON <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the request of property owners in the territory <br />herein described, a description and a map of said territory were <br />presented to the ~nta and Planning CO~aission, and said co~mission <br />approved the annexation of said territory, and said description and <br />map were presented t? the B~undary Co~aission of Orange County, <br />California, and said Boundary C~ission caused to be prepa=edka re- <br />port finding the proposed boundaries to be reasonably definite and <br />certain. <br /> <br /> NOW, THERBFORE, BE IT ~BSOLVED~ That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana hereby initiates proceedings ; for annexation <br />of said territory herein described, to the City of Santa And for <br />the following reasons= <br /> <br /> 1. That the area can best be served by the City of Santa <br /> <br /> -' 2. That it ia ;to the mutual ~dvantage of the land owners <br />and the City o~ Santa Ana that said territory become a ~art of the <br />city of Santa And. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER ~ESOLVED= ~l~t the City Council hereby de- <br />clares its intention to annex all of the territoryhereinbelow <br />described under the provisions o~ the Annexation of Uninhabited <br />Territory Act of 1939, and hereby ~ fin~s and declares that said <br />territory is uninhabited within the meaning of California Govern- <br />merit Code Section 35303 on the date of the adoption of this <br />Resolution~ that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa <br />Ana, lies in the State of California, and is described as= <br /> <br /> <br />
