The Village Santa Ana Supplemental EIR Peer Review
City of Santa Ana
Ascent is currently working closely with the City and its legal counsel, Best Best & Krieger, in the peer review
of the Supplemental EIR for The Village Santa Ana Project. The project involves a Specific Plan for the
redevelopment of an approximately 17.2-acre site in the South Bristol Street Focus Area for the
development of approximately 1,583 residential units, 80,000 square feet of retail space, 300,000 square
feet of office space, and over 3.6 acres of open space. Because the project is consistent with the City's
General Plan Update (GPU) and was largely analyzed in the GPU Program EIR, Segerstrom's consultant,
Michael Baker International, is preparing a Supplemental EIR that tiers from the GPU Program EIR pursuant
to CEQA Guidelines Sections 15168 and 15152. Ascent is conducting peer reviews of the Draft Supplemental
EIR sections and has reviewed Batch 1 and 2 documentation to date, including the following
chapters/sections: Introduction, Project Description, Cultural Resources, Geology and Soils, Hazardous
Materials, H rology and Water Quality, Land Use and Planning, and Population and Housing. In addition,
