RESOLUTION NO. 60-112 AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION OF CERTAIN REAL"~ERTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING DRAINAGE AND DECLARING THE NECESSITY THEREOF. WHEREAS, the Newhope Drainage District right of way from Sugar Avenue to Smeltzer Avenue between Harbor Boulevard and Newhope Street does not provide for the surface drainage. WHEREAS, a means is needed to drain surface water from adjacent lands now and in the future~ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana does hereby find and determine that public interest and necessity require that provision be made for the surface drainage of said waters and further require that said city do have take and acquire easements for drainage purposes over, through and across certain lands in the City of Santa Ana, and in the City of Fountain Valley, all in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: PARCEL l: The West 20 feet of the North 100 feet o-~est 7 acres of the North half of the Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 16, Township 5 South, Range l0 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian. PARCEL 2: The West 20 feet of the West 7 acres of t-~orth half of the Northeast 9uarter of the Southeast quarter of said Section lb. Excepting the North 100 feet. P~__~__~_: The West 20 feet of the North half of the Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of said Section 16. PARCEL 4: The West 20 feet of the South half of the South half of the Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of said Section 16. ~h: The West 20 feet of the North half of east 9uarter of the Southeast quarter of said Section lb. PARCEL 6: The West 20 feet of the South half of t-R-~heast 9uarter of the Southeast quarter of said Section lb. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney is hereby ordered and directed to bring an action in the name of said City in the Superior Court of the State of California in and for the County of Orange to condemn said property necessary to be taken as herein ordered and described, and to do all things necessary to prosecute said action to final determination.
