The motion carried, 6-0-1, by the following roll call vote: <br />AYES: COUNCILMEMBER BACERRA, COUNCILMEMBER <br />HERNANDEZ, COUNCILMEMBER LOPEZ, <br />COUNCILMEMBER PENALOZA, COUNCILMEMBER <br />VAZQUEZ, MAYOR AMEZCUA <br />NOES: NONE <br />ABSTAIN: MAYOR PRO TEM PHAN (recusal) <br />ABSENT: NONE <br />Status: 6 — 0 -1 — Pass <br />**END OF CONSENT CALENDAR** <br />CITY MANAGER COMMENTS <br />MINUTES: None. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />AB1234 DISCLOSURE — If the City paid for travel or other expenses this is the time for <br />members of the Council to provide a brief oral report on attendance of any regional board <br />or commission meeting or any conference, meeting or event attended. <br />MINUTES: Councilmember Vazquez thanked staff for work done at railroad tracks, <br />announced his attendance at TKO Program at Jerome Park, spoke regarding the street <br />topper for the Guzman family, and dedicated the meeting in memory of Terry Kim, <br />Valley High School teacher. <br />Councilmember Penaloza expressed excitement for the arrival of baby No.2. in March <br />2025. <br />Councilmember Lopez invited all to attend a park clean-up at Santiago Park on October <br />23, 2024 at 2:00 P.M., and wished everyone a safe and Happy Halloween. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Phan spoke regarding the Mid -Autumn Festival and attendance at <br />OCFA's station open house, and encouraged all to vote. <br />Councilmember Bacerra announced community office hours on November 2, 2024 at <br />10:00 A.M. at Sandpointe, spoke regarding the ROVE charging center and Gelsons, <br />and thanked Orange County Supervisor Sarmiento for fencing between the Flower Bike <br />Trail and County Flood Control Channel. He spoke regarding conducting business <br />effectively, Prop. 36, and encouraged all to vote. <br />Councilmember Hernandez thanked staff for their hard work and efforts, the Guzman <br />family for their contributions to the community, spoke regarding the report on the ethics <br />code investigation, and encouraged all to vote. <br />CITY COUNCIL 18 OCTOBER 15, 2024 <br />
