<br />It was moved by Councilman McBride, seconded by Jerome and carrie~/
<br />that consideration of Ordinance approving the annexation of that
<br />certain territory designated "Baptist Church Annexation" be continuedi
<br />until October 5, 1953.

<br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the
<br />Vice Mayor was authorized to signs screw instructions from George D.
<br />and Xathryn M. Gregg, and Harold M. and Hazel V. Grimes; Emmett Guy
<br />and Myrtle C. Derby; Martin E. and Eleanor D. Lindsey, for easement
<br />deeds for street purposes, for the widening of South Main Street, and
<br />from Frank P. and Myrtle F. Borchard, for an e~eement for sewer
<br />purposes adjoining the Pacific Electric Railway tracks in the south-
<br />
<br />east section of the City.

<br />The Council having u~animously waived the reading of the Resolution,
<br />
<br />on motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the
<br />following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Resolu%ion No. 53-133 approving map, declaring
<br /> intention to vacate a portion of Vance Street and
<br /> fixing time and place for hearing all persons
<br /> interested in or objecting to the proposed v~cation#
<br />
<br />was considered and passed by the following vote:
