Kilgore <br /> <br />Un motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by La, sen and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br />granted to Buffumss to permit use of the property at the northeast <br />corner of Tenth and Main Streets and lll-ll? East Tenth Street, for <br />parkingpurposes. <br /> <br />Attorney Jack Rimel presented petitions with 1401 signatures of <br />citizens, residents and tax payers requesting the Council to take <br />immediate action to close and barricade Flower Street at both sides <br />of its &ntersection with Santa Ana Boulevard and that a hearing date <br />be set on the matter. On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by <br />Lateen and carried, the petitions were received, filed and November <br /> <br /> 2nd, 1953 designated as the date of hearing. <br /> . <br /> On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br /> recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br /> gu-anted to RudyE. Gallegos to permit the const~,~ction of an <br /> integrated multiple unit building of eight or less units and eight <br /> or less garages, at the northwest corner of Delhi Road and Cypress <br /> <br /> Avenue, being Lots 35, 36, 37 and 38, Block B, Parcel 21, Tract 638. <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br /> recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br /> granted to Kenneth E. Rogers to construct a storage warehouse at the <br /> <br /> northeast corner of King Street and the Pacific Electric Railway. <br /> # <br /> On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Lateen and carried, the <br /> recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br /> granted to Park Lane Estates to permit a reduction in the front set- <br /> back to 55 feet, placement of two 8~x10~ signs on two lots and eight <br /> 2~x3' signs on eight lots in Tract No. 1824 located at the corner of <br /> Memor-y Lane and Flower Street, subject to the condition that signs <br /> shall remain until the property is sold but not to exceed a period of <br /> <br /> one year. <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Larsen, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br /> recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br /> denied to Virgil S. Isbell to operate small business as plastering <br /> contractor, store excess materials and park two trucks within a board <br /> <br /> fence at 1904 Valencia Street. <br /> . <br /> On motion of Councilman Larsen, seconded by McBride and carried, the <br /> recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br /> granted to L. E. and Grace M. Brown to permit use o2 property at 28i6 <br /> North M~in Street as a trailer park or motel site, subject to certain <br /> conditions. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, the <br /> recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br /> granted to Lou J. Kilgore to permit constr~ction of a modern six-unit <br /> court-type building to be used for medical and dental professions, and <br /> a reduction in the front set-back to 40 feet at ltl-ll5 East Pomona <br /> Street, subject to the condition as imposed by the Planni~ Commission <br /> in regard to signs and subject to the further condition that the park' <br /> <br /> <br />
