Co. <br />Compare. d, tndewed ~.~ /3 c: Planning, Bldg, Pub Wks <br /> <br />AE$OLUTION HO. 60-134 GRANTING VARIANCE APPLICATION <br />NO. 1351 FILED BY SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON CO~PA~ <br />WHERE PLANNING CO~ISSION RECOmmEnDED DENIAL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ~he Planning Con~ission, after public hearing on notice, <br />has recommended denial of Variance Application No. 1351, and the City <br />Council, after consideration, has decided that said Variance should be <br />granted upon certain conditions. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ~ESOLVED: That the City Council hereby <br />grants a Variance on Application No. 1351 to permit the property known <br />and numbered as 601-$07 West Eighth Street, in the City of Santa Ana, <br />lying in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Lot 2 and the South 101 feet of Lot 1 of Block A of <br />Harley's Addition to the Town of Santa Ana as shown <br />on a map re~orded in Book 23, page S0 of Miscellaneous <br />Records of Los Angeles County, <br /> <br />in an R-2 District, to be used for the construction of a public util- <br /> <br />ities commercial office in accordance with regulations. Said Variance <br /> <br />is granted subject to conditions: <br /> <br />That a rendering of the project to illustrate the proposed <br />development and landscaping be placed with the Planning <br />Department for their file. <br /> <br />That 17 off-street parking spaces be provided as required. <br />Each parking space is to be 9' x 20', accessible and useable, <br />and marked. <br /> <br />3. That all driveway and parking areas be asphalt or concrete. <br /> <br />~fhat a solid concrete wall not less than 2 feet in height <br />be erected along the West property line from the Northwest <br />corner of the proposed commercial office building to the <br />Northwest corner of applicant's property. <br /> <br />That a street easement for the full width of the property <br />along Eighth Street, a strip of land 30 feet in width, <br />measured North of and at right angles to the centerline of <br />Eighth Street, be dedicated to the City. This easement is <br />to include a 25 foot property line radius at the corner of <br />Eighth Street and Van Ness Street. <br /> <br />6. That all vehicular access rights from this property to <br /> Eighth Street be dedicated to the City. <br /> <br />7. That approximately 75 lineal feet of broken sidewalk on <br /> Van Ness Street be replaced. <br /> <br />8. That the owner improve the alley along the entire rear of <br /> the property involved. <br /> <br />That all requested deeds be prepared by a competent title <br />company on a City deed form and submitted to the Department <br />of Public Works. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
