8. Victor Mendez spoke regarding Agenda Item Nos. 8, 11, 32, 33, and 36. <br />The following speakers addressed City Council via teleconference: <br />9. Fernando Deveras spoke regarding Agenda Item No. 33. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve staff recommendations on the following <br />Consent Calendar Items: 4 through 31 and waive reading of all resolutions and <br />ordinances. <br />MINUTES: At 7:31 P.M., the Consent Calendar was considered. <br />Councilmember Hernandez pulled Agenda Item Nos. 15 and 31 for separate discussion <br />and consideration. <br />Councilmember Bacerra pulled Agenda Item No. 7 for separate discussion and <br />consideration. <br />Councilmember Lopez pulled Agenda Item No. 7 for separate discussion and <br />consideration. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Phan recused herself from Agenda Item No. 11 as the listed entity, <br />Families Forward, Inc., is a client of her employer, Rutan and Tucker. <br />MOTION: Councilmember Bacerra moved to approve Consent Calendar Item Nos. <br />4 through 31 with the exception of Agenda Item Nos. 7, 15, and 31 pulled for <br />separate discussion and consideration, seconded by Councilmember Penaloza. <br />MINUTES: City Clerk Jennifer L. Hall announced that pursuant to Government Code <br />Section 54953 an oral summary of salary and benefits shall be made prior to final action <br />of the Council on any local executive and stated Agenda Item No. 23 is the approval of <br />a salary adjustment for the City Clerk increasing the annual salary from $182,320 to <br />$195,083 and City -provided deferred compensation payment of the maximum normal <br />contribution, effective October 15, 2024. <br />The motion carried, 7-0, by the following roll call vote: <br />AYES: COUNCILMEMBER BACERRA, COUNCILMEMBER <br />HERNANDEZ, COUNCILMEMBER LOPEZ, <br />COUNCILMEMBER PENALOZA, COUNCILMEMBER <br />VAZQUEZ, MAYOR PRO TEM PHAN, MAYOR AMEZCUA <br />NOES: NONE <br />ABSTAIN: NONE <br />ABSENT: NONE <br />Status: 7 — 0 — Pass <br />CITY COUNCIL 6 NOVEMBER 19, 2024 <br />
