RESOLUTION NO. 60-1~5 INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE <br />A/~EXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br />DESIGNATING AN APPROPRIATE NA~ OF "TUSTIN AND SEVENTEENTH <br />N. E. ANNEX" FOR SAID TEI{RITORY, AND GIVING NOTICE OF <br />PROTEST HEARING ~I5~EREON <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the r~_q~gst of property owners in the territory <br />herein described, a description and a map of said territory were <br />presented to the Santa Aha Planning Commission, and said Commission <br />approved the Annexation of said Territory, and said description and <br />map were presented to the Boundary Commission of Orange County, <br />California, and said Boundary Commission caused to be prepared a <br />report finding the p$oposed boundaries to be reasonably definite <br />and certain. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Aha hereby initiates proceedings for Annexation <br />of Territory herein described to the City of Santa Ana for the <br />following reasons: <br /> <br /> 1.) That said Territory is in need of municipal services <br /> because of existing business establishments and proposed <br /> new development. <br /> <br /> 2.) ~%at the area can best be served by the City of Santa <br /> Aha with municipal services of the highest quality any- <br /> where obtainable. <br /> <br /> 3.) That it is to the mutual advantage of the land owners <br /> and the City of Santa Aha that said territory become a <br /> part of said City. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares <br />its intention to annex all of the territory hereirubelow described <br />under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act <br />of 1939, and hereby finds and declares that said territory is unin- <br />habited within the meaning of California Government Code Section <br />35303 on the date of the adoption of this Resolution; that said <br />territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, lies in the County <br />of Orange, State of California, and is described as: <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
