RESOLUTION NO. 60-170 AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION OF REAL PROPERTY FOR PARK SITE WHEREAS, the rapid growth of the City of Santa Aha and of the County of Orange, California, require that the park and recre- ation areas of the City be enlarged to provide for the demands and needs of the citizens of the City for open space recreation areas. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, does hereby find and determine that the public interest and necessity require the acquisition of land adjacent to and South of the land owned by the Santa Ana High School District of Orange County as a public park site to provide for the present and future needs of the citizens of Santa Ana, and further require that said City do have, take and acquire in fee simple for said purposes the entire parcel of land in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 7 of the Williams Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 30, Page 14 of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County, California, and running thence South 88° 53' 40" West along the North line of said Lot 7, 40.00 feet to the true point of be- ginning; thence South 88° 53' 40" West along said North line 1604.57 feet; thence North 1° 09' 57" West 140.00 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Easterly, having a radius of 430 feet; thence Northeasterly along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 40° 00' 00" to a tangent line; thence North 38° 50' 03" East 90.00 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave North- westerly having a radius of 870 feet; thence Northeasterly along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 21° 44' 12" to the North line of Lot 8 in said Tract; thence North 88° 50' 03" East along said North line of Lot 8 1287.88 feet; thence South 1° 03' 20" East 773.66 feet to the true point of beginning. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: t. That the City of Santa Ana is authorized and empowered to use the power of Eminent Domain to acquire and provide public parks and to acquire a fee simple estate for said necessary function. 2. That said City Council hereby declares that the loca- tion of the public improvement herein authorized is planned and located in a manner which will be most compatible with the greatest public good, and the least private injury.
