CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />RFP NO.: 24-028 <br />CONFINED SPACE RESCUE SERVICES AND SAFETY TRAINING <br />7. Monthly Safety Training Services including but not limited to: <br />(1) <br />Electrical safety <br />(2) <br />Confined space training <br />(3) <br />Excavation/Trenching <br />(4) <br />Fail protection and retrieval <br />(5) <br />Lock-outlTag-out <br />(6) <br />Construction site safety plans <br />(7) <br />Hazardous materials handling <br />(8) <br />Respirator protection <br />(9) <br />Aerial work (fall protection and retrieval) <br />(10) <br />Hot work and hot work permit requirements <br />(11) <br />Personnel protective equipment (PPE) requirements <br />(12) <br />Signage requirements <br />(13) <br />Ventilation techniques <br />(14) <br />Permitting requirements <br />(15) <br />Other OSHA required training for job -related hazards <br />The specific training needs identified in the scope of work can be expected to include <br />similar components as the training requirements identified above. All safety training <br />needs will be discussed and coordinated with City staff prior to work authorization. <br />5. SAFETY EQUIPMENT INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES <br />Upon request from the City, -the Consultant shall offer inspection and maintenance <br />services of safety equipment including but not limited to the following frequency: <br />The Consultant shall provide quarterly inspection and evaluation of rescue <br />equipment in the City's Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH) rescue <br />vehicle to meet compliance with safety provisions and standards. The City's I DLH <br />rescue vehicle includes SCBA's, SKA-PAK's, medical equipment, helmets and <br />lights, ventilation, CMC rescue hardware, fall protection equipment, radios, <br />atmospheric monitors, and miscellaneous equipment. <br />2. The consultant shall also provide annual inspection and evaluation services of <br />SCBA's and SKA-PAK's air respirators as well as evaluation of self -retracting <br />lines to meet compliance with safety standards. <br />3. The Consultant shall provide confined spaces training services annually in <br />accordance with Title 8 CCR. <br />4. The Consultant shall provide annual inspection/maintenance of the City's air <br />quality monitoring equipment at various stations. <br />5. The Consultant shall be responsible for training City staff on assessing Self - <br />retracting line (SRL) equipment and ensuring equipment meets certification <br />City of Santa Ana RFP 24-028 <br />Confined Space Rescue Services and Safety Training <br />Page 17 <br />
