CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> SPECIFICATIONS <br /> PROJECT NO.: 25-6030 <br /> TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT SEGERSTROM AVENUE AND ROSEWOOD <br /> AVENUE <br /> 4.19 BONDING AND GROUNDING <br /> Bonding and grounding shall conform to the provisions in Section 86-1.02F(2)(c)(ii), <br /> "Bonding Jumpers and Equipment Grounding Conductors," of the Caltrans Standard <br /> Specifications and these Special Provisions. <br /> 4.20 VEHICLE SIGNALS <br /> Vehicle signals shall conform to the provisions in Section 86-1.02R and 87-1.03R, "Signal <br /> Heads," of the Caltrans Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions. <br /> All new vehicle signal indications shall be 12" nominal diameter. All new signal <br /> indications shall be Light Emitting Diode (LED), as specified elsewhere in these Special <br /> Provisions. <br /> All new signal section housings shall be provided with tunnel visor and backplate. Signal <br /> section housings (Color: Green), visors (tunnel), and backplates shall be metal. All visors <br /> shall have twist-on attaching ears to facilitate installation. <br /> The stainless steel machine screw shall have anti-seize compound (NOA-Lox or Agency <br /> approved equal) applied before installation. The door shall be equipped with a neoprene <br /> gasket,permanently secured, to prevent water from entering the terminal compartment. <br /> Side mounted signal heads shall be mounted on the side away from the traveled roadbed. <br /> The Contractor shall furnish and install new mounting hardware as required to provide for <br /> the intended design and operation. <br /> 4.21 COUNTDOWN PEDESTRIAN SIGNALS <br /> Pedestrian signals shall conform to the provisions in Section 86-1.02S and 87-1.03S, <br /> "Pedestrian Signal Heads," of the Caltrans Standard Specifications and these Special <br /> Provisions. <br /> Pedestrian signal shall be LED countdown type with 9" high number (GE model PS7- <br /> CFF1-VLA or approved equal). Pedestrian signal indication housings shall be metal <br /> (Color: Green),mounted with Type Z-crate front screens. Pedestrian signal housings shall <br /> be furnished with a terminal compartment identical to that specified elsewhere in these <br /> special provisions. <br /> 4.22 LIGHT EMITTING DIODE(LED) MODULES <br /> Light emitting diode (LED) signal and pedestrian modules shall conform to the provisions <br /> in sections 86-1.02R(4)(b), "LED Signal Modules," of Caltrans Standard Specifications <br /> and these Special Provisions. <br /> LED signal modules shall be manufactured by Dialight or Agency approved equal. <br /> 68 <br />
