RESOLUTION NO. 60-23~ INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR <br />THE ANI~EXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA, DESIG~IATING AN APPROPRIATE NAME OF "gRVRt~'DEEI~_~ <br /> ~ W. ANN FOR SAID TERRITORY, AND <br />GIVING NOTICE OF PROTEST HEARING THEREON <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the request of property owners in the territory <br />herein described, a description and a map of said territory were <br />presented to the Santa Ana Planning Con~ission, and said Commission <br />approved the Annexation of said territory, and said description and <br />map were presented to the Boundary Commission of Orange County, <br />California, and said Boundary Commission caused to be prepared a <br />report finding the proposed boundaries to be reasonably definite <br />and certain. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Aha hereby initiates proceedings for Annexation <br />of said territory herein described, to the City of Santa Ana for <br />the following reasons: <br /> <br /> 1.) That said territory is presently in need of municipal <br /> <br /> services, particularly access to an adequate sewerage <br /> system, and in the City of Santa Ana said territory <br /> could be connected into the Santa Ana sewerage trunks <br /> and mains without paying any cost for said lines. <br /> <br /> 2.) That the area can best be served by the City of Santa <br /> Ana with municipal services of the nighest quality <br /> anywhere obtainable. <br /> <br /> 3.) That it is to the mutual advantage of the land owners <br /> and the City of Santa Ana that said territory become <br /> a part of said City. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares <br />its intention to annex all of the territory hereinbelow described <br />under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act <br />of 1939, and hereby finds and declares that said territory is unin- <br />habited within the meaning of California Government Code Section <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
