RESOLUTION NO. 60-253 DECLARING THE WI~I~HDRAWAL <br />OF TERRITORY FROM THE ORANGE COUNTY LIGHTING <br />DISTRICT NO. 3 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, heretofore, the territory known as Tract No. 2036, <br />hereinbelow described, was annexed to the City of Santa Ana by <br />Ordinance No. NS~367 adopted March 23, 1959, under the designated <br />name of "WEST SANTA AlqA ANNEX'', so that now all of said territory <br />is within the limits of the City of Santa Ana, California, and <br />entitled to free street lighting without the imposition of a <br />~pecial tax therefore. However, said territory still remains in <br />the Orange County Lighting District NO. 3 and should be removed <br />therefrom; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 21, 1960, the Orange County Boundary <br />Col~nmission approved the description of territory hereinbelow set <br />out as reasonably definite and certain for the purpose of removing <br />said territory from said District. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That all of the territory <br /> <br />in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, <br /> <br />described as: <br /> <br />TRACT NO. 2036 <br /> <br /> Commencing at the intersection of the center line of <br />Verano Street and Smeltzer Avenue, said intersection <br />being the Southwest corner of Section 1~, Township 5 <br />South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian <br />as shown on a map of Tract Number 2036, Recorded in <br />Book 109, Pages 26 and 27, Miscellaneous ~ps, Records <br />of Orange County, California, and running thence North <br />00° 43' 25" West along said center line of Verano Street <br />1315.26 feet to the true point of beginning; thence <br />continuing North 00° 43' 25" West 329.5~ feet; thence <br />North 89° 32' 50" East 1320.26 feet; thence South <br />00° 41' 54~' East 329.~5 feet; thence South ~9° 33' <br />West 1320.12 feet to the true point of beginning, <br /> <br />be, and the same is hereby withdrawn from the Orange County Light- <br /> <br />ing District No. 3, and fhe City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br /> <br />hereby officially declares that said territory is so withdrawn from <br /> <br />said District. <br /> <br /> BE I'P FUR'£HER RESOLVED: That the Cleri~ of the Council is <br />hereby directed to file a Certified Copy of this Resolution with the <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
