RESOLUTION NO.6~O~Z?O <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF <br />ORANGE TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL <br />HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM THE DEVELOP- <br />MENT OF F^IRVIEW STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS. the City of Santa Aha desires to improve Fairview Street <br />frc~ Edinger Street to McFadden Avenue and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Fairview Street is an important artery in the County of <br />Orange a~ of general County interest, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS. Article 2 and Article 3. Chapter 9. Division 2 of the <br />Streets and Highways Code authorizes a County. if it so desires, to expend <br />funds apportioned to it out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for aid <br />to any City in the improvement, construction or repair of a street within a <br />City. and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS. the Board of Supervisors intends to. by appropriate action, <br />provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the <br />Fiscal Year 1961-62 a sum of money for the improvement of streets within <br />the incorporated cities of the County in accordance with the Orangs <br />County Arterial Highway Financing Program. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of <br /> <br />Santa Ana hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange <br />to allocate to said City from County Funds the amount of $14.300.00, <br />said amount to be matched by funds from said City. to be used to aid said <br />City in the improvement of Fairview Street from Edinger Street to McFadden <br />Avenue; said improvement to be in accordance with the attached project <br />statement; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County <br />of Orange is hereby requested to find that said work on Edinger Street. <br />in the manner provided, is in the general County interest. <br /> <br /> <br />
