RESOLUTION NO. 60-271 <br /> <br />ltESOLUTION OF 'l'n~ COUNCIL OF TM~ C]5~Y OF SANTA ANA <br />REQUESTING '~'~ COUxi'f OF ORANGE TO INCLUDE W±'niIN <br />THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM 'l'~ ~EVELOPMENT <br />OF FOURTH 8','amsT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha desires to improve Fourth Street from Tustin Avenue <br /> <br />to 472 feet east, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Fourth Street is an important artery in the County of Orange and of general <br />Country interest, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2 of the Streets and High- <br /> <br />ways Code authorizes a County, if it so desires, to expend funds apportioned to it <br />out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to any City in the improvement, <br />construction of repair of a street within a City, and <br /> <br /> WEEEEAS, the Board of Supervisors intends to, by appropriate action, provide in <br /> <br />the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the Fiscal Year 1961-62 <br />a sum of money for the improvement of streets within the incorporaSed cities of the <br />County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial Hlghwa~ Financing Program. <br /> <br /> NOW T~'.REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Aha hereby <br />requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate to said City <br />from County Funds the amount of $16,250.00, said amount to he matched by funds from <br />said City, to be used to aid said City in the improvement of Fourth Street from <br />Tustin Avenue to 472 feet East, and for the acquisition of necessary rights of way; <br />said improvements and acquisition of rights of way to be in accordance with the <br />attached project statement; <br /> <br /> BE IT FUIvl'n~ RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors Of the County of Orange is <br />hereby requested to find that said work and aCQuisition of rights of way on Fourth <br />Street, in the ma~er provided, is in the general County interest. <br /> <br /> BE IT FU~I'~d~R RESOLVED that, by this Resolution, the City of Santa Aha agrees <br /> <br />with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Financing Program; and further agrees <br />that its share of the cost of improvenents and rights of ~ay will be available for the fiscal <br />year 1961-62. <br /> <br /> <br />
