DEVELOPI~IIT <br />OF EDINGER <br /> <br /> ~AS, the City of Santa Aua desires to acqttire right of way on Edinger Street <br />from Bristol Street to Broadway, and <br /> <br /> Wn~W~EAS, Edinger Street is an important artery in the County of Orange and of <br />general County interest, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter g, Division 2 of the Streets and Highways <br />Code authorizes a County, if it so desires, to expend funds apportioned to it out of <br />the California Highws~ Users Tax Fund for aid to any City in t he improvement, con- <br />struction or repair of a street within a Cit~ end <br /> <br /> WHEEEAS~ the Board of Supervisors intends to, by apprOpriate action~ prOvide in <br />the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the Fiscal Year 1961-62 a <br />sum of money for the improvement of Streets within the incorporated cities of the <br />County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway Financing Program. <br /> <br /> NOW .J.~,:~EFORE, ~E IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Smuts Ann hereby <br />requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orauge to allocate to said City <br />from County Funds the amount of $250,000.00, said ~unt to be matched by funds from <br />said City, to be used to aid said City in the acquisition of necessam~y rights of way; <br />on Edinger Street from B~istol Street to Broadway; said acquisition of rights of way <br />to be in accordancm with the attached prOject statement; <br /> <br /> ~E IT FUI~I'nmR RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange <br /> <br />is hereby requested to find that said acquisition of rights of way on Edtnger Street, <br />in the manner provided, is in the general County interest. <br /> <br /> 2E IT FUI~I'~R RESOLVED that, by this Resolution~ the City of Santa Aua agrees <br />with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Financing Program; and further <br />agrees that its share of the cost of rights of way will be available for the fiscal <br />year 1961-62. <br /> <br /> <br />
