RESOLUTION 66-13 ACCEPTING DEEDS WHERE THE
<br />CITY IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDERATION
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, JACK TOSHIKI SAKIOKA, also known as Toshiki Sakioka,
<br />MARY KIYOKO SAKIOKA, JOHNNY KATSUI SAKIOKA, and GRACE MIYE SAKIOKA
<br />have delivered to the City a deed dated January 4, 1966, conveying
<br />a temporary easement to be used in conjunction with the construction
<br />of Grand Avenue, south of Warner Avenue, in consideration of the sum
<br />of $1,025.00, which easement shall cease to exist on March 1, 1967.
<br />Said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 873634-hrb with
<br />First American Title Insurance & Trust Company; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, JIM M. ANAYA has delivered to the City a deed dated
<br />January 8, 1966, conveying a parcel of real property on the south
<br />side of Eighth Street, west of Fairlawn Street, in consideration of
<br />the sum of $8,600.00. Said transaction is to be handled through
<br />Escrow No. 873653-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust
<br />Company, Santa Ana, California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, BEN VILLA and FLORA M. VILLA have delivered to the
<br />City a deed dated January 8, 1966, conveying an easement for street
<br />purposes on the south side of Eighth Street, west of Raitt Street,
<br />in consideration of the sum of $795.00. Said transaction is to be
<br />handled through Escrow No. 873641-hrb with First American Title
<br />Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, SALVADOR R. HERRERA and JACINTA P. HERRERAhave
<br />delivered to the City a deed dated January 11, 1966, conveying a
<br />parcel of real property on the north side of Eighth Street, east of
<br />English Street, in consideration of the sum of $10,750.00. Said
<br />transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 873654-hrb with
<br />First American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, California;
<br />and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, ROBERT J. KAVANAUGH and MARILY K. KAVANAUGH have
<br />delivered to the City a deed dated January 12, 1966, conveying an
<br />easement for street purposes on the south side of Eighth Street, east
<br />of English Street, in consideration of the sum of $1,815.00. Said
<br />transaction is to be handled through Escrow No.873639-hrb with First
<br />American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Aha, California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, heretofore, by Resolution 65-178, Paragraph 1, the
<br />City accepted a deed from GRIFFITH BROS., a partnership, for the
<br />widening of Edinger Avenue, east of the Pacific Electric Railroad
<br />and Madison Park, which said deed contained an error in the
<br />description and which said action should be rescinded and a new deed,
<br />dated January 12, 1966, conveying said property for the same
<br />consideration should be accepted, the Escrow Instructions amended to
<br />show the correct description; and a deed dated January 13, 1966,
<br />from GRIFFITH BROS., a partnership, granting to the City, without
<br />cash consideration, 7 feet on each side of the right of way conveyed
<br />to the City for Edinger Avenue by said corrected deed should be
<br />accepted. Said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 872186-
<br />hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana,
<br />California.

<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
<br />authorized to sign the Escrow instructions and the Supplemental Escrow
<br />Instructions to Escrow No. 872186-hrb; that the City of Santa Ana
<br />accepts said deeds and rescinds the acceptance of the deed from
<br />GRIFFITH BROS. as authorized by Resolution 65-178; and Carl J.
<br />Thornton, the Uity's designated agent, is directed to place his
<br />Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.
