RESOLUTION 66-18 AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION OF <br />CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />ESTABLISHING THEREON PUBLIC BUILDINGS AND <br />GROUNDS AND DECLARING THE PUBLIC NECESSITY <br />THEREFOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana has <br />declared the area delimited as a Civic Center for the location of <br />public buildings and grounds, and said area includes the property <br />hereiubelow described. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana does hereby find and declare that the public <br />interest and necessity require that the City do have, take and acquire <br />fee title in and to that certain parcel of real property in the City <br />of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Lot 6 of Birch Addition to Santa Ana as shown on <br />a map recorded in Book 3, Page 145, of Miscellaneous <br />Records of Los Angeles County, California. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said City Council does hereby <br />find and declare that the taking herein authorized is necessary for <br />the purpose of locating and constructing thereon public buildings <br />and grounds for the use of the City of Santa Ana and that it is <br />necessary to acquire fee title in and to said property. The said <br />City Council hereby declares that the location of said public <br />buildings and grounds is planned and located in a manner which would <br />be most compatible to the greatest public good and the least private <br />injury. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney is hereby <br />ordered and directed to bring an action in the name of the City of <br />Santa Ana in the Superior Court of the State of California in and <br />for the County of Orange, to condemn said property herein described <br />and to do all things necessary to prosecute said action to final <br />determination; <br /> <br /> That the City of Santa Ana is authorized, empowered, and <br /> required to provide for public buildings and public grounds within <br /> the City; and that said action in condemnation shall be taken in <br /> accordance with the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure and the <br /> Constitution of the State of California relating to e~inent domain. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br /> ~~/:pril, 1966/~~ <br /> Ana at its regular meeting held on the 4~h day of <br /> <br /> ATTEST: ~-~ <br /> DORIS.. <br /> By, <br />ASS' CL - <br /> <br /> STA E OF CALIFORNIA) <br /> COU Y OF OmU E ) SS <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> I, DORIS M.
