All-American Construction Solutions, Inc.
11474 Norton Avenue. Chino, CA. 91710
Cell: (
Email:
Web: www.aacs.construction
Lic. # 1047163 (A, B, C-20, C-39, C-51)
Santa Ana City Council
20 Civic Center Plaza
Santa Ana, CA 92701
February 18, 2025
RE: City Council Agenda Item #17 — In support of THRIVE Santa Ana, Walnut and Daisy Micro-Farm
Project
Dear Mayor and City Council,
Please consider this letter in support of THRIVE Santa Ana Community Land Trust, the Walnut and
Daisy Micro-Farm, as part of your Public Hearing, item #17 on today’s City Council Meeting agenda.
All-American Construction Solutions had the opportunity to participate on this very important project
from ground breaking to construction to now the completion of this widely beneficial community project
Walnut and Daisy Micro-Farm. As the General Contractor on this project, it is evident that this venue
and public space will serve the local and surrounding community like no other of its kind. The newly
built environment will provide the community an opportunity to meet, celebrate, educate, learn, laugh,
and “Thrive!” In addition, the Walnut and Daisy Mircro-Farm has transformed this local community and
has beautified its surrounding.
The Walnut and Daisy Micro-Farm is the first community land trust project in the City of Santa Ana, and
it embodies the City’s commitment to economic development in the interest of local residents. “La
Colmena,” as the site was recently rebranded, will provide affordable commercial space for local,
worker-owned businesses (cooperatives), for arts, and for community events and local markets. The
project, awarded by the State of California’s “Jobs First” initiative, has already created over 35
prevailing wage construction jobs, 3 affordable commercial spaces, healthy, organic produce, and
community event space.
The development of a community land trust in Santa Ana will also benefit the City’s housing goals as
stated in the City’s Housing Element Program 34.H, and will overall contribute to economic wellbeing in
the city. Thank you to the City of Santa Ana for supporting this exemplary project and others like it.
Sincerely,
Rafael Gutierrez, President
All-American Construction Solutions
Cell:
E-Mail: Rafael@aacs.construction
Rafael Gutierrez, President
