RESOLUTION 66-54 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA APPOINTING THE ORANGE COUNTY HEALTH <br />DEPARTMENT TO ENFORCE CERTAIN ORDINANCES, RULES, <br />AND REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Health Department has heretofore been <br />designated by this City Council as the Health Department for the City <br />of Santa Aha; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana does not maintain any municipal <br />health department; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has heretofore adopted ordinance <br />numbered NS-793, and rules and regulations pursuant thereto which <br />impose restrictions equal to or greater than those imposed by Part 1.5 <br />of Division XIII of the Health and Safety Code of the State of Cali- <br />fornia, said or dinance adding to the Santa Aha Municipal Code <br />Article VIII; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the provisions of Article VIII of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code are to be enforced by the City Health Department so far <br />as it pertains to the maintenance, sanitation, ventilation, use, or <br />occupancy of apartment houses, hotels, or dwellings, and all rules <br />and regulations promulgated thereunder and pertaining thereto; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Orange County Health <br />Department be and is hereby designated and charged with the enforcement <br />of the provisions of Article VIII of the Santa Ana Municipal Code and <br />of any rules and regulations promulgated thereunder and pertaining <br />thereto, insofar as said Article VIII and said rules and regulations <br />pertain, for reasons of public health, to the maintenance, sanitation, <br />ventilation, use, or occupancy of apartment houses, hotels, or <br />dwellings within the City of Santa Aha; and the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby retains the right to enforce, through its Department of Building <br />Safety and Housing, Fire Department, and other departments and agencies, <br />all other aspects of its Article VIII of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />and rules and regulations promulgated thereunder and pertaining thereto. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />at its regular meeting held on the 20t~ day of June, 1966. <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
