RESOLUTION 66-66 AUTHORIZING CHANNELIZATION OF <br />SOUTH MAIN STREET IN THE VICINITY OF EDINGER <br />AVENUE AND PROHIBITING PARKING IN SAID AREA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Edinger Avenue wall soon carry an increased traffic <br />load due to its extension to the east, requiring increased capacity <br />to handle traffic flow at Main Street and Edinger Avenue; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such increased capacity can be provided by channel- <br />ization for separate left turn lanes on Main Street, which will <br />require the removal of curb parking on both sides of Main Street <br />from about 74 feet south of Stanford Street to 250 feet north of <br />Edinger Avenue. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Main Street shall be <br />channelized for left turn storage lanes at Edinger Avenue and that <br />for this purpose parking shall be forbidden at all times on both <br />sides of Main Street from a point 74 feet south of the center line <br />of Stanford Street to a point 317 feet north of the center line of <br />Edinger Avenue. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this Resolution shall take <br />effect on the 1st day of September, 1966. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of May, 1966. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
