RESOLUTION 66-83 APPROVING MAP, DECLARING INTENTION <br />TO VACATE SURPLUS RIGHT OF WAY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF <br />FAIRHAVEN AVENUE, EAST OF GLASSELL STREET, AND GIVING <br />NOTICE OF HEARING THEREON <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a request for the abandonment of a two-foot strip <br />of land at the southeast corner of Fairhaven Avenue and Glassell <br />Street has been received by the Director of Public Works and the <br />Public Works Department, the Planning Department, and the Planning <br />Commission have recommended approval of said abandonment to <br />facilitate future property development and consistent street <br />alignment. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana hereby approves the map attached hereto and orders <br />the same filed with the original of this Resolution in the office of <br />the Clerk of the Council and reference is hereby made to said map <br />for the exterior boundaries of said right of way proposed to be <br />vacated. <br /> <br /> The City Council hereby declares its intention to proceed <br />under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (~8300 throu~ <br />§8374 of the California Streets and Highways Code) to vacate that <br />two-foot strip of surplus right of way on the south side of Fairhaven <br />Avenue, east of Glassell Street, in the City of Santa Aha, County of <br />Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />That portion of Lot 4, Block A of the Chapman Tract, as surveyed <br />by Frank Lecouvreur in 1870 as shown on a map recorded in Book 102, <br />page 15, of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, <br />California, described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the intersection of the Southerly line of Fairhaven <br />Avenue (60 feet wide) as described in a deed to the County of <br />Orange recorded in Book 341, page 331 of Deeds, with the Easterly <br />line of Glassell Street (80 feet wide) as described in an order of <br />condemnation deed to the State of California recorded in Book 785, <br />page 382 of Deeds, records of Orange County; thence Easterly <br />along said Southerly line a distance of 193.76 feet; thence <br />Southerly at right angles to said Southerly line to a point in a <br />line parallel with and distance 10.00 feet Southerly (measured <br />at right angles) from said Southerly line, said point being the <br />TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing along said right <br />angle line 2.00 feet to a line parallel with and distance 12.00 <br />feet Southerly of said Southerly line; thence Westerly along last <br />mentioned parallel line a distance of 149.55 feet, more or less, <br />to the beginning of a tangent curve concave to the Southeast and <br />having a radius of 25.00 feet; thence along said curve through a <br />central angle of 102° 41' 44" an arc distance of 44.81 feet to a <br />point of tangency with a line parallel with and distance Easterly <br />10.00 feet (measured at right angles) from said Easterly line of <br />Glassell Street (80 feet wide); thence northerly along last <br />mentioned parallel line 2.05 feet, more or less, to the beginning <br />of a tangent curve concave to the Southeast and having a radius <br />of 25.00 feet; thence along said curve through a central angle of <br />102° 41' 44" an arc distance of 44.81 feet to a point of tangency <br />with a line parallel with and distance Southerly 10.00 feet <br />(measured at right angles) from said Southerly line of Fairhaven <br />Avenue (60 feet wide); thence Easterly along last mentioned <br />parallel line 150.00 feet, more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF <br />BEGINNING. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That July 5, 1966, at the hour of <br />7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Third and Main Streets, <br />Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for <br />hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed <br />street vacation. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
