KESOLUTION 66-101 ACCEPTING DEEDS AND AN OFFER <br />OF DEDICATION WHERE TH~CITY IS PAYING NO CASH <br />CONSIDERATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, KNICKERBOCKER'S, a California corporation, has <br />executed an Offer of Dedication dated June 22, 1966, granting to <br />the City a continuing offer of dedication of easements for street <br />purposes on the west side of Grand Avenue, north of Stafford Street; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, C. OTTO POWELL and ETHEL M. POW-ELL have executed a <br />deed dated June 20, 1966, conveying to the City an easement for street <br />purposes on the north side of First Street, west of Lacy Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, NEWHOPE ASSEMBLY OF GOD, a California corporation, <br />has executed a deed dated June 15, 1966, conveying to the City an <br />easement for street purposes on the east side of Newhope Street and <br />the north side of Kent Avenue; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA, a corporation, <br />has executed a Quitcla/m Deed dated May 26, 1965, quitclaiming to <br />the City its interest as lessee to an easement for street purposes <br />and a spandrel of land on the north side of Seventeenth Street and <br />the east side of Bristol Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, RUTH CARTER JACKSON has executed a deed dated <br />June 16, 1966, conveying to the City an easement for street purposes <br />on the east side of Grand Avenue, north of Regent Street; said deed <br />is granted in considera~on of improvements to be performed by the <br />City in lieu of a cash consideration; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, A. H. ALLEN and GEORGIA ALLEN have executed a deed <br />dated June 16, 1966, conveying to the City easements for street <br />purposes on the east side of Grand Avenue from Regent Street to the <br />Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway and on the west side of Grand <br />Avenue, north of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway and south <br />of Chestnut Avenue, in consideration of improvements at said location <br />in lieu of a cash consideration; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES, a California corporation, has <br />executed a deed dated June 20, 1966, conveying to the City an <br />easement for street purposes on the east side of Grand Avenue, <br />366 feet south of Chestnut Avenue, in consideration of improvements <br />at said location in lieu of a cash consideration;and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, all of said deeds are without a cash consideration <br />being paid to said grantors by the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana <br />accepts said deeds and said Offer of Dedication and Carl J. Thornton, <br />the City's designated agent, is directed to place his Certificate of <br />Acceptance on said deeds and said Offer of Dedication. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of July, 1966. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br /> <br />
