RESOLUTION 66-156 ACCEPTING DEEDS WHERE
<br />THE CITY IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDERATION
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, BILLEE B. HALLORAN has executed a deed dated November 4,
<br />1966, conveying an easement for street purposes on the northwest
<br />corner of Spurgeon Street and Washington Avenue, in consideration of the
<br />sum of $350.00; said transaction to be handled through Escrow No.
<br />874754-hrb with the First American Title Insurance & Trust Company,
<br />Santa Ana, California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, T. R. BOLTE DEVELOPMENT, INC., a California corporation,
<br />and ERICO, INC., a California corporation, have executed a deed dated
<br />August 23, 1966, conveying an easement for a U-1-A Storm Drain, and a
<br />temporary easement to be used in conjunction with the construction of
<br />said storm drain, in the consideration of the sum of $1,500.00; said
<br />transaction to be handled through Escrow No. 870597-hrb with the First
<br />American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, California; and
<br />
<br /> WPLEREAS, ELLSWORTH J. FARI~ and BLANCHE I. FARR, husband and wife,
<br />have executed a deed dated November 3, 1966, conveying to the City two
<br />parce~ of real property located at 322-324 E. Seventeenth Street and
<br />1624 French Street, in consideration of the sum of $37,000.00; said
<br />transaction to be handled through Escrow No. 874753-hrb with the First
<br />American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, LOUIS J. KELLY and MARY D. KELLY, husband and wife, and
<br />ELMER S. POIRIER and GRACE S. POIRIER, husband and wife, have executed
<br />a deed dated October 25, 1966, conveying to the City easements for
<br />street purposes on the South side of Seventeenth Street and the east
<br />side of French Street, in consideration of the sum of $13,200.00; said
<br />transaction to be handled through Escrow No. 874741-hrb with the First
<br />American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS OF THE STATE OF
<br />CALIFORNIA, and CONSUELO ARIAS, have executed a deed dated April 4, 1966,
<br />conveying to the City an easement for street purposes on the south side
<br />of Eighth Street and west of Hawley Street, in consideration of the sum
<br />of $1,300.00 and certain remedial work to be done by the City; said
<br />transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 874008-hrb with the
<br />First American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, California;
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
<br />authorized to sign the Escrow instructions; that the City of Santa Ana
<br />accepts said deeds, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
<br />is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.

<br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
<br />at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of November, 1966.
