RESOLUTION 66-164 REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF <br />ORANGE TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY <br />FINANCING PROGRAM THE DEVELOPMENT OF CERTAIN <br />STREETS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Articles 2 and 3 of Chapter 9, Division 2 of the <br />Streets and Highways Code of the State of California authorize a <br />county to expend funds apportioned to it out of the California <br />Highway Users' Tax Fund for aid to~ any city for the improvement, <br />construction, or repair of streets within such city; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Board of Supervisors of Orange County intends <br />to provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement <br />Fund for the Fiscal Year 1967-68 a sum of money for the improvement <br />of streets within the incorporated cities of the County in accordance <br />with the Orange County Arterial Highway Financing Program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to improve certain <br />streets within the City; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Aha does hereby request the Board of Supervisors <br />of the County of Orange to allocate to the City of Santa Ana from <br />County funds the amount of $675,000, said amount to be matched by <br />funds from said City, to be.used to aid said City in the improvement <br />of certain streets, as follows: <br /> <br />STREET LIMITS OF PROJECT COST ALLOCATION <br /> <br />Seventeenth <br />Street <br /> <br />Bristol Street to Grand <br />Avenue (stage right of way <br />acquisition) <br /> <br />$300,000 $150,000 <br /> <br />First Street <br /> <br />Townsend Street to <br />Standard Avenue (stage right <br />of way acquisition) <br /> <br />300,000 150,000 <br /> <br />Northeast <br />Expressway <br /> <br />Santiago Street to Grand <br />Avenue (stage right of way <br />acquisition) <br /> <br />200,000 100,000 <br /> <br />West Diagonal <br /> <br />Fourth Street to Sixth <br />Street (right of way and <br />construction) <br /> <br />440,000 220,000 <br /> <br />First Street <br /> <br />Birch Street to Bush Street <br />(construction) <br /> <br />110,000 55,000 <br /> <br />$1,350,000 <br /> <br />$675,000 <br /> <br />Said improvements are to be in accordance with the attached project <br />statements. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Board of Supervisors of the <br />County of Orange is hereby requested to find that said work and <br />acquisition of rights of way, in the manner provided, is in the <br />general interest of the County. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That, by this Resolution, the City of <br />Santa Aha agrees with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highway <br />Financing Program; and further agrees that its share of the cost of <br />improvements will be available for the Fiscal Year 1967-68. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Aha at its regular meeting held on the 19th day of December, 1966. <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
